WHO WE ARE
We are educational establishment committed to the teaching of Yorùbá language and culture.We have, over the years developed a team of professionals, who are committed to imparting the knowledge of our mother tongue to the coming generations of Yorùbá lovers.
We are of the opinion that children must be adequately taught in their mother tongue, for them to be able to cope in higher learning. Brigham Young said; “see that your children are properly educated in the rudiments of their mother tongue, and then let them proceed to higher branches of learning.”
” Yorùbá philosophy also emphasized this fact in a proverb that says: “Ọmọ tí kò rá nílé kò lè rìn lájò.” (A child who fails to crawl at home can never walk in a foreign land.) This forms our bedrock to begin an online and offline teaching of Yorùbá language, in order to preserve our mother tongue from going into extinction.
WHAT WE DO
We have developed a well-structured curriculum to teach Yorùbá as a Foreign Language to pupils from ages 5 to 16, as well as foreign adults seeking to learn and understand the rudiments of the language. Our teaching methodologies are developed in a way to drive the interest of the learners to learning the language. Our tutors are trained to adopt Montessori style of teaching which make the teaching and learning process to be fun oriented.
Aside the teaching of Yorùbá language, we also organize various Yorùbá competitions like Yorùbá Quiz, Yorùbá Debate, Spelling Bee, Ayò Ọlọ́pọ́n Board Game, Yorùbá Puzzle, et c. for school children. We believe after teaching the language, it is imperative to test the competency of our learners. This prompted us to organize various competitions to test the learners’ competencies. We are also opened to conducting Yorùbá competitions for any interested organization or institution.
Also, we specialize in the art of translation, most especially Yorùbá to English translation and vice versa.
